Case Study 1 – Ernst & Young:

Background

Ernst & Young, the Global Leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services selected Connect Group as their recruitment partner for Smart Energy Retained Search. 

Action Taken

The search was complex due to the role’s requirements. Identifying the best candidates for E&Y’s position required complete understanding of the company and division’s business model, direction, and culture. 

We worked closely with E&Y’s Partner responsible for advising on Customer and Market Strategy and Transformation to create detailed needs analysis and candidate profile.
 

The role of Smart – IT Advisory Senior Manager / Director is a niche role within an emerging marketplace.
 

Outcome

We recruited and placed the role within 2 months due to our close relationship with both the client and candidate. 


Case Study 2 – IT Consultancy Firm:

Team of 5 required for immediate start. Strong client Management skills with specialist testing tool experience

Background
A high profile UK based IT consultancy firm specialising in delivering major IT programmes, was faced with a problem concerning the testing process for a large application, developed for a government department.

As the project deadline approached, the consultancy firm realised they were unskilled in the testing tool being used in the project.

Action Taken
We acted quickly to arrange a meeting with the Resource and Project Manager to establish the key problem, and priority areas to focus on.

With these identified we were able to source a pool of candidates within 24 hours. All were highly skilled in the relevant testing tool individuals skilled in this testing tool.

We selected a team leader with highly relevant experience who, utilising their insight and proven skill, was able to select the five person team and deploy them to the client site within 2 days.

Outcome
Through our close management of the team and the strong relationship with our client the project was completed successfully. As a high profile government project there would have been serious implications to our client had the project not been completed.
