My client is a large global organisation who are looking for a Quality Assurance Test Manager.
Skills
An experienced, ISEB qualified Test Manager is required with extensive test management experience to manage testing across the full solution development life cycle, ensuring testing is delivered to time, cost and quality. The role will require you to provide direction & leadership and support business users and IT project resources with expert advice and guidance on testing matters.
Responsibilities
Performing time/cost/risk benefit analysis
Using and applying Best practice to Test and Defect management methods
Engaging in the set up and maintenance of test environments across multiple platforms and operating systems
Using project planning tools and milestones for projects
Communicate the test project status (detailed, and measurable) to the team members, to the customer, and to management
Identify and resolve any test project issues
Identifying, quantifying and justifying risks and risk mitigation
Working with the Business, Portfolio/Project Managers to determine handover processes to ensure skills transfer and knowledge capture
Management third party suppliers
Managing complex multi disciplined teams of > 10 (including team dynamics, conflicts and concerns within these)
Conducting formal reviews including approval of Test Documentation and Sign Offs.
Profile
You will have an excellent grounding in testing in a wide variety of business & technical environments and you must be able to demonstrate resilience and the ability to manage under pressure. You will have outstanding motivational and task management skills as well as excellent communication skills. Ideally, you will have operated in the senior levels of large projects and have strong listening and influencing skills.
Experience with a wide range of test tools e.g. Mercury Quality Centre tools suite is essential.
