Job Description:  

My client is a large Media organisation based in Peterborough who are looking to appoint a Problem / Change / Incident Manager.

The Problem Management Process Manager performs the day-to-day operational and managerial tasks demanded by the process flows.

Duties -
Ensure the Problem Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are monitored and met.
Ensure the Problem Management process operates effectively and efficiently and identify opportunities for improving the tools used.
Provide management and other processes with steering information and management reports.
Identify and improve operational alignment between various processes.
Can balance the support requirements of the business with IT resourcing and prioritisation issues in order to ensure optimal effective business support within the available means.
To provide support and cover for the Incident Manager and the incident/major incident processes.
Ensure the Service Management tool-set is fit for purpose as regards Problem Management.
Responsible for the management, administration and upkeep of the Knowledgebase, incorporating the Known Error Database.
Understands the services that IT delivers to its customers.
Expertise required in one or more of the following:
ITIL qualified to V3 Foundation level.
Ideally qualified to ITIL V2 Problem Management Practitioners.
Ideally qualified to ITIL Intermediate certificate Level in Operational Support and Analysis
Formal education preferably to Degree level in a technical discipline, demonstrating skills in the understanding, investigation, analysis and presentation of complex information.
3 years plus experience in the support function within a medium to large size of organisation.
The role holder would be expected to develop a comprehensive knowledge of business plans and organisation, including key users of technology and their needs.
