This is an exceptional System Engineering Management opportunity to join a leading London based Media organisation.

The successful candidate, who must have proven commercial System Engineering Management experience, will be responsible for resource management, skills advancement and scheduling of system engineer resources for projects.

As System Engineering Manager, you are accountable for maintaining a systems engineering approach which is in line with the company’s technical strategy, this includes systems architecture, design, delivery, test, tools, processes & procedures (how to maintain and govern).

You will also be responsible for owning the systems engineering capability of the Solutions Engineering roadmap.

Previous commercial experience within Media/Publishing or a similar relevant industry is essential.

Key Responsibilities.
- Responsible for resource management & scheduling of system engineer resources within their team across all programmes of work, maintains a resource plan that’s visible to others in collaboration with the Development Manager.
- Ensures that staff have the correct skills & knowledge of systems, procedures and processes (induction & ramp-up).
- Oversee the infrastructure design, delivery, integration and customisation of software services and systems according to designated standards.
- Licensing of Software & Hardware.
- Inputs to design decisions within projects – responsible for the overall systems technical design of services in line with HLA’s.
- Management of suppliers to include statements of work.
- Line management.
- Accountable for ensuring development environments and access controls are in place for staff
- Responsible for the overall design of new environments.
- Continually improve capability, review and adapt.
- Collaborate and communicate with Development Manager, Test Manager, Senior Technical Lead, Technical Leads, Project Managers, Service Managers, Release Managers to ensure projects are a success.
- Management reporting & stakeholder management
