Oracle Systems Analyst

Job Description:  

Our client is looking for an Oracle Systems Analyst to join the global Oracle support team.

Currently the role will mainly provide Projects functional support to the UK region, although as more countries implement Oracle support will operate on a global basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible:

- Provide functional support to the Projects users in the resolution of issues;
- Escalate issues where applicable to the development team or raise Service Requests and following their progress through to resolution;
- Review requests for configuration changes, liaise with the global team where applicable and implement any configuration changes. Ensure configuration documentation is kept up to date;
- Manage regional testing;
- Assist with upgrades and developments – testing, documenting changes and implementation;
- Assist the superusers with training;
- Provide advice to the business on best practice business processes;
- Assist the business with adhoc projects, process/systems improvements.

System Administration responsibilities
- Maintain users and manage their access;
- Carry out regular access audits;
- Resolve or liaise with the appropriate IS resource to resolve logon and connectivity issues

Discoverer responsibilities
- Discoverer administration
- Collate reporting requirements and review with the users prior to development of new reports or modifications of existing reports.

Key Skills
- Experience in Oracle Projects, also ideally experience in Oracle Human Resources and Financials;
- Experienced in providing application support;
- An accounting background would be ideal;

System administration
- Oracle Systems Administrator course must have been completed and certificate available;
- Experienced in Oracle E-Business system administration.

Discoverer
- Experienced in Discoverer Administrator and Desktop;
- Experienced in requirement gathering and analysis;
- SQL/TOAD essential.
