Leading consumer electronics company looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Architect to join their Graphics team within the open source OS group to provide high level technical guidance and architectural design advice on all Linux-based platforms.

This is a very interesting role in which you will helping shape the future technologies employed in my client’s embedded devices.

You will be undertaking feasibility, design and prototype work, interpreting architectural documentation, contributing to software component design, engaging with the open source community and providing advice for project planning and budgeting.

You must have a background in software development (ideally on mobile or open source platforms), working knowledge of C++ or Java, have knowledge of graphics stacks in embedded systems, will have been involved in architecture (or looking to get involved in) and have exposure to one or more Linux mobile platforms (LiMo, Android, Maemo, Moblin, Openmoko).

Knowledge of graphics technologies essential.
