My client is looking for a Systems Administrator. The right person will perform a variety of tasks in software/hardware maintenance and operational support of server systems.

The candidate must have extensive experience working in a Systems Administration role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and resolve issues associated with server hardware, applications software.

• Detects and diagnoses and reports operating system issues on the server

• Installs, configures and maintains operating systems

• Attends status meetings as required

Qualifications:

• Experience working as a P5 and P6 AIX Systems Administrator for a minimum of five years

• Experience with P5/P6 system logical partitioning (LPAR)

• Experience with IBM Virtual I/O server

• Experience with IBM HACMP high availability software

• Experience with IBM DS4000, DS5000 and DS8300 SAN storage unit

• Experience with IBM SAN Volume Controllers and SAN replication

• Experience with IBM TotalStorage Productivity Center (TPC)
- Experience working in a managed services environment is preferred
- Must be very organized and self managed individual
- Must be an independent worker and show leadership
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- EMC SAN knowledge a plus
- HPUX and SUN Solaris knowledge a plus
- Networking knowledge a plus
