The post holder will be part of a team providing network support activities. To ensure that calls are dealt with within agreed service levels, are prioritised and escalated appropriately.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To support a high quality and efficient network service, supporting staff and officers working from a variety of offices, mobile and remote locations, exploiting network technologies and management support systems

• Plan, coordinate and carry out the installations of new network infrastructures

• To provide support and administration for the corporate applications such as:
o Cisco Works
o Solarwinds
o Mitel Enterprise Manager
o Ops Manager
o Voicemail
o Call Logging
o Commander
o IP Telephony ensuring the security, integrity and performance of the services and any changes are undertaken adhering to the relevant change control procedures.

• To identify underlying problems within the network which are causing incidents to be raised and to propose, design and implement resolutions in a timely manner to these problems.

• To provide front line diagnosis of faults and be able to carry out remedial fault rectification under direction to the active components that drive the network.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Expert knowledge in the administration and support of the following:

• PBX Switch Administration and Management
o Voice traffic management and profiling
o Circuit Provisioning and Management
o Tandem
o ACD Systems
o Call Logger
o Witch and Call Logger Reporting
o Trunk Management
o Mitel Enterprise Manager

• Expert knowledge of all data or voice and mobile communications network technologies and services, supported by industry recognised qualifications.
