Job Description:  

To manage the assigned segment through all phases of the product life cycle, establishing appropriate competitive strategies and setting both price, volume and performance targets based upon a thorough analysis of market, technological and industry trends and events.

Developing and implementing strategies for growth either within or into synergistic market segments.

Developing and maintaining marketing material and provision of expert support within the sales process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a segment strategy appropriate to the product life cycle phase and predicted competitive environment.

• Development and implementation of viable incremental segment growth strategies.

• Management and provision of marketing material and services to support segment strategy.

• Ownership of the business case for the strategic change programme within the assigned market segment.

• Specification and implementation of a scalable modular "platform" strategy to enable rapid and cost effective service deployment within new market opportunities.

• Manage the intellectual property associated with the assigned market segment.

• Set sales pricing and volume targets, establish generic contracts inclusive of economic and competitive service level KPIs.

• Set operational cost and performance targets based upon competitor analysis and related industry benchmarking data.

• Provide customer interface support for both commercial and technical issues.

• Provide leadership for the bid phase activities required by large tenders and own the associated business case.

• Provide pro-active representation of SES interests in external bodies to beneficially influence future decisions.

• Provide cross functional leadership for a virtual management team to ensure effective end to end business performance within the assigned segment.
